The Aris Quartet
Founded in Frankfurt in 2009, the Aris Quartett is one of the most popular young string quartets.
The musicians received their training with Hubert Buchberger (Buchberger Quartett) at the Frankfurt University of Music. They studies chamber music with Günter Pichler (of the Alban Berg Quartet) in Madrid.
The Aris Quartett won First Prizes in the International Johannes Brahms Competition 2012 (Pörtschach/Austria), in the European Chamber Music Competition 2013 (Karlsruhe/Germany), in the International August-Everding Competition 2014 (Munich/Germany) as well as in the International Joseph- Joachim Chamber Music Competition 2016 (Weimar/Germany).
Most recently they have been awarded the Chamber Music Prize of the Jürgen-Ponto Foundation as well as a second prize, audience prize and 3 more special prizes at the ARD International Music Competition.
The quartet performs internationally at music festivals such as the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival, the Rheingau Music Festival, the Festival quartetto d’archi (Reggio Emilia/Italy) and the HARMOS Festival (Porto) as well as in significant concert halls, such as the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Residenz Munich, the Hofburg Vienna, the Auditorio SONY Madrid and the Auditorio de Bordeaux.
